Judges profile

I first joined the BCC in December of 1977 and had my first Beardie in January of 1978. Her mother had been BOB at Crufts in 1977 and her breeder wanted her to be shown. After that we were a lost cause.

I became hooked on breeding, studying pedigrees, breeding litters. To date I have bred 10 UK champions and more with CCs and RCCS, JWs and stud book numbers. I have many US champions over the years and more than a few in various countries around Europe and one or two other places.

I first accepted a judging appointment at an open show in the 80s my first Championship show in 1999. I had an entry of 199, sadly we don’t get entries like that these days. I have judged championship shows many times since then, have judged in Europe and the US. In the last twelve months I have crossed off two of my judging bucket list appointments having the privilege to judge the US Beardie National 2024 and Crufts 2025…

I look forward to whatever comes next.
